Improving Client Outcomes: Using Core Correctional Practices in Treatment Courts
November 12 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
One of the many ways that treatment courts promote recovery is through relationships with clients and integration of treatment and probation case management. This integration allows the court to have a coordinated and evidence-based response to client needs. In the treatment court, building your relationship skills, rapport, motivational enhancement strategies and cognitive-behavioral problem solving approaches is critical in your work with clients in order to align with national best practice standards.
This hour long webinar will include an overview of CCP, the three main components of CCP (relationship skills, motivational enhancement skills, and intervention skills), and an example demonstration of one skill within each of the three components. This webinar is ideal for probation officers, case managers and treatment providers, but all team members are encouraged to attend in order to reinforce the work from different role perspectives.
