Resource Description

This document provides an overview of Veterans Justice Outreach (VJO) Specialists, their roles, responsibilities, and challenges they may face. The fact sheet highlights how VJO specialists are integral to the Veterans Treatment Court team, as they work to connect participants of the program to services, serve as a resource for other team members, and help the treatment program identify veterans that may find a use in participating in the program or participating as a mentor. However, VJO specialists do face some barriers in their role as a VTC team member that are outlined in the document.
